AND SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We commit to regularly reviewing our management systems and the objectives and programs that constitute these systems, evaluating their effectiveness, and conducting the necessary activities for continuous improvement in line with the principle of sustainability.


 

METAL POLICY
 

A "Metal Policy" has been established in our company to control any kind of metal that may fall into or mix with the product.
The following rules are ensured to be followed within the scope of this policy:

 

►Staples, needles, wire, fragile blades, fragile pruning shears, and fragile utility blades are not allowed to be brought into the production area to prevent foreign metal materials.
 

►In cases where it is necessary to bring foreign metal materials into the production area, such as maintenance and repair activities, the areas where these materials are used will be isolated. After the completion of maintenance and repair activities, the application area will be checked, and foreign metal materials will be removed. In the event of any loss of items during maintenance, repair activities, or production on machines and equipment, the lost item will be investigated, and production will be halted until the relevant item is found.
 

►Employees and visitors entering the production area will be required to leave any personal belongings containing metal and posing a risk of falling onto the production line in the designated lockers at the entrance.
 

►To prevent metal contaminations arising from the machines used in the production area, magnets, metal detectors, and x-ray equipment are utilized. The effectiveness of the machines will be periodically checked, and efforts will be made to ensure their full capacity operation. Products separated by metal detectors will be prevented from being released to the market.
 

►Waste metals will be placed in scrap metal bins in the workshop area, accumulated in the waste area, and swiftly removed from the facility after being separated as scrap.
 

►In case of consumer complaints regarding the presence of foreign metal materials in the product, the source of the problem will be swiftly investigated, the relevant production batches will be inspected, and all necessary measures will be taken to prevent the recurrence of the issue.
 

►Suppliers and subcontracted service providers will be required to comply with the metal policy.
 

All employees are responsible for adhering to this policy. Employees must report to their superiors if they observe any non-compliance with this policy in production and storage areas.



 

GLASS AND FRAGILE MATERIAL POLICY
 

"In order to eliminate the possibility of glass or fragile materials mixing with the products, a 'Glass and Fragile Material Policy' has been established in our company."


►No glass or fragile material will be brought into the production area. These materials will only be used in laboratories.
 

►All glass surfaces in the production area will be completely covered with film. All glass surfaces covered with film will be marked.
 

►All lighting equipment will be equipped with protective covers.
 

►Panels, frames, and clocks made of glass and fragile materials will not be used in the production area.
 

►In storage areas and on transportation vehicles, glass and fragile materials will not be kept.
 

If glass and fragile materials are present with raw materials, packaging materials, and pallets, or in the vehicles where these inputs are shipped, the return of these inputs will be ensured.
 

►If purchased equipment includes glass and fragile attachments, these attachments will be covered with film.
 

►In the event of any glass breakage in the production facility, the quality department will be promptly informed.
 

►In case of a customer complaint related to the presence of any glass material in the products, the source of the problem will be promptly investigated. Samples will be collected from the relevant production batch and examined. Immediate measures will be taken to prevent the recurrence of the issue.
 

►Suppliers and subcontracting service providers will be required to comply with our company's 'Glass and Fragile Material Policy.

 

All employees are responsible for adhering to this policy. In case they observe any non-compliance with this policy in production and storage areas, employees are obligated to report it to their supervisors.




 

HUMAN RESOURCES
AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY

 

Acarsan Holding is aware that in the face of evolving technology and changing market conditions, the most crucial tool for competitiveness is the "human resources."

 

►Acarsan Holding has set excellence, quality, and high performance as the main principles in all its endeavors. Employees are hired based on their ability to perform the job, without discrimination based on race, color, language, ethnic origin, political opinion, marital status, age, pregnancy, or gender. Compensation, social benefits, and promotions are carried out in line with these principles.

 

►Working hours are determined in accordance with current laws and regulations, and the principle of voluntary overtime is considered. No child labor is employed in any company of the Holding. Forced labor, involuntary labor, and debt-based labor are strictly prohibited. Equal pay for equal work is the fundamental policy of the Holding. Normal and overtime payments are made as specified in the laws.

 

►Acarsan Holding pledges to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel. Access to potable water and sanitary facilities, access to necessary safety equipment, access to adequate lighting and ventilation facilities are provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
 

►Acarsan Holding respects the personality and dignity of each employee. Verbal, physical, or psychological harassment, coercion, and mobbing are not practiced within the organization at all management levels, and permission for such behavior is not tolerated.

INFORMATION SECURITY POLICY
 

Acarsan Holding places the utmost importance on information security and commits to adhere to the following fundamental principles:

 

►Implementing a sustainable information security system based on risk assessment and risk management,

 

►Ensuring the sustainability of the Information Security Management System by safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of information assets,

 

►Prioritizing information security obligations in service processes involving customers and other stakeholders,
 

Ensuring the effective operation and accessibility of the Information Security Management Board,

 

Ensuring compliance with legal requirements regarding the non-sharing of personal data stored within the Holding with third parties, and taking necessary top-level measures to securely store the data.



 

WOOD POLICY

 

In our production facility, a 'Wood Policy' has been established to ensure the control of wood and wooden materials that may come into contact with or mix with the product.

Within the scope of this policy, compliance with the following rules is ensured:

 

►Wooden panels, frames, and similar materials will not be used in the production area.


►Wood or wooden pallets will not be brought into the production area. These materials will be exclusively used in storage and shipping areas. The pallets utilized will be of Euro pallet type, procured without having been previously used elsewhere.


►Wooden cleaning equipment will not be used in the production area.


►In case of customer complaints related to wood, a prompt investigation into the source of the problem will be conducted. Samples will be taken from the relevant production batch and analyzed. Production will be halted until the source of the problem is identified, and all necessary measures will be taken to prevent the recurrence of the issue.

 

►Suppliers and subcontracting service providers will be required to adhere to Acarsan Holding's "Wood Policy.

 

All personnel are obligated to comply with this policy. In the event of observing any non-compliance with this policy in production and storage areas, employees are responsible for reporting it to their supervisors.



 

 ALLERGEN POLICY
 

To maintain control over food safety in our company, an "Allergen Policy" has been established for ingredients that may cause allergies. Within the scope of this policy, compliance with the following rules is ensured:
 

►If any allergenic substance, other than gluten, enters the production from the raw material, it will be classified under different codes, labeled accordingly, and stored separately.


►Allergen information will be included in the final product labels and specifications.


►When working with allergenic raw materials, only equipment designated for allergens will be used.


►Laboratories will undergo periodic wet cleaning, and the verification of the cleaning effectiveness will be ensured.


►Suppliers and subcontracting companies are required to comply with Acarsan Holding's "Allergen Policy.

 

All personnel are obligated to adhere to this policy. In cases where non-compliance with this policy is observed in production and storage areas, employees are responsible for reporting it to their supervisors.



 

ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POLICY
 

Acarsan Holding places utmost importance on the "Energy Management System Policy" and commits to adhere to the following fundamental principles:


►Formulating, reviewing, and ensuring the availability of information and necessary resources to achieve the goals and objectives in line with the "Energy Management System Policy.


►Complying with legal regulations related to energy efficiency, energy usage, and energy consumption,


►Continuously improving energy performance and the energy management system,


►Supporting the use of energy-efficient products and services that have a positive impact on energy performance,


►Developing design activities that involve improving energy performance,

 

Ensuring that employees and all other stakeholders are informed about Acarsan Holding's "Energy Management System Policy" and raising awareness about their responsibilities,


Managing all processes related to energy with effective, efficient, innovative, and progressive approaches, and integrating principles of science and technology innovations into the system.

 

Acarsan Holding commits to prioritizing sustainability within the framework of the "Energy Management System Policy" and pledges to demonstrate maximum sensitivity to the efficient use of natural resources.


 

HALAL POLICY

 

Acarsan Holding, within the framework of its "Halal Policy" implemented in its food production companies, commits to unconditional compliance with the following principles:


►Meeting the requirements of the Halal Management System in the production of flour, semolina, noodles, and pasta,


►Adhering to the OIC/SMIIC1 standard, Turkish Food Codex, Quality and Food Safety Management System, Islamic Jurisprudence, and meeting customers' halal food safety requirements in the design, development, and production stages of the products,


►Preventing and managing halal food safety hazards that may arise throughout the processes from product preparation to consumption,

 

Ensuring the continuity of improvement and development efforts in all production units, and minimizing the risks related to halal food safety,
 

Conducting regular training programs to enhance the awareness of quality and halal food safety among employees, and developing detailed descriptions of roles and responsibilities in job descriptions.
